We introduce a new generation of Evanlite hubs for road and gravel wheels, based on a 36T ratchet system. Their low weight allows for lighter carbon wheel builds, while the refined design delivers high precision and long-term durability, as explained below.
The new Evanlite hub model is currently priced 120 EUR lower than DT 350. It can be selected for all road and gravel wheels during configuration.
For example, the New Disc 45 built with Evanlite hubs and Sapim D-Light double-butted spokes weighs just 1360 grams and is now priced at 4299 PLN.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
RATCHET 36T
The rear hub is based on a proven ratchet system with 36 teeth, offering an optimal balance between durability and engagement frequency. It’s worth noting that higher tooth counts may lead to faster wear over long-term use.
The ratchet consists of two rings that are not permanently fixed inside the hub shell, which simplifies servicing.
LOW WEIGHT
Thanks to a lightweight, carefully designed hub body, the total weight of the hub set (front + rear) is exceptionally low — just 280 grams.
Hub set comparison (real weights):
EVANLITE – 290 g
DT 240 EXP – 310 g
DT 350 – 370 g
TPI BEARINGS
The new Evanlite hubs use high-quality steel bearings from the renowned TPI brand, known for long service life. Precision manufacturing ensures smooth rotation and low rolling resistance, directly improving riding efficiency.

The difference in rolling resistance between steel and ceramic bearings is around 2 watts per wheelset. However, due to their design, ceramic bearings tend to perform optimally for only 2000–5000 km. After that, wear increases friction. In the long term, high-quality steel bearings remain the most durable and efficient choice.
BEARING SEALING
Bearings in Evanlite hubs are double-sealed — from both the outside and the inside — providing effective protection against dirt and moisture and significantly extending service life.
Protection is ensured by precisely fitted end caps that prevent direct exposure to contamination. In addition, LLB (double labyrinth) seals are used — low-friction rubber seals designed to protect the bearing from the inside without increasing rolling resistance.
COMPATIBILITY
New Evanlite hubs are compatible with Shimano Road 11/12s, Microspline 12s, and SRAM XDR freehubs.
Available axle standards include the most common 12×100 and 12×142, as well as QR (with interchangeable end caps).
Appropriate axle and freehub options can be selected in the configurator.
If you already use wheels based on DT Swiss hubs, it’s worth noting that DT end caps and freehubs are compatible with the new Evanlite hub model, ensuring broad spare-part availability.
RATCHET SOUND
Hubs using a ratchet mechanism are known for a relatively loud sound. The volume can be adjusted by changing the amount of grease inside the mechanism — less grease results in a louder sound, while more grease effectively quiets the hub.

Evanlite vs DT Swiss hubs
DT Swiss hubs are widely regarded as top-tier products, known for excellent manufacturing quality and long-term reliability.
With the introduction of the new Evanlite hub generation, our goal is to offer a high-quality alternative while maintaining strict quality standards, low weight, and a more accessible price point.
New Evanlite hubs are an ideal choice for riders looking for lightweight and durable wheels built on proven components. This approach has been the foundation of our brand for years and remains unchanged in every new design.
The low weight of the new hubs allows both road and gravel wheelsets to be configured with base weights of approximately 1270–1430 grams, depending on the model. This is an excellent result, achieved without compromising durability, while keeping the price attractive.
This marks another step in the development of our brand and reflects years of experience in designing and building carbon wheels. The new hub option allows us to create highly competitive wheelsets that often exceed current technical standards in their segment.
