We’re redefining Evanlite’s top-tier wheelset. The previous Champion 45 and 58 models have been replaced by a single platform: the New Champion.
One of the key features of the New Champion is its optimized rim profile, with a depth of 48–53 mm. The shape was refined for better aerodynamics, allowing smoother airflow around the rotating wheel, especially in crosswinds. The result is better bike control, higher stability, and a calmer ride feel — which translates directly into higher average speeds.
The New Champion was designed with maximum aerodynamics and stiffness in mind. This makes it equally effective on flat and rolling terrain. At the same time, its relatively low weight means it performs well on more mountainous routes, without feeling sluggish on climbs.

High stiffness for efficient power transfer
High stiffness is a key factor behind the performance of the New Champion. By using DT Aerocomp flat spokes, the wheelset achieves very high lateral stiffness, resulting in excellent power transfer — especially during hard accelerations and sprint finishes, where fast response matters most.
The tall, stiff rim also improves stability and steering precision. Combined with the advanced rim profile, the complete wheelset allows you to maintain higher speeds with less effort.
DT Aerocomp, flat, 2.0/2.3 × 1.25 mm
not to be confused with Aerolite spokes, which are lighter but slightly less stiff and durable.
An alternative option in the configurator is a build based on carbon spokes, offering very high stiffness while keeping overall weight low.
Evanlite or DT Swiss hubs
You can choose between Evanlite hubs, DT Swiss 350, or DT Swiss 240 EXP. All are based on the 36T ratchet system, providing precise and reliable engagement. Evanlite hubs are a lightweight option, structurally similar to the DT 350, using TPI bearings with double LLB sealing. DT Swiss 350 hubs are available either in a black version made exclusively for Evanlite or in classic white. DT Swiss 240 EXP is the top-tier choice, offering even lower weight.
All hub options use high-quality steel bearings, which in real-world use outperform ceramic bearings in terms of durability and long-term, maintenance-free operation.
Rim specification
The New Champion rim features an internal width of 21 mm and an external width of 29 mm. This design is optimized for 25–28c tires, the most commonly used sizes in the professional peloton. The hooked rim allows flexible use of both tube-type and tubeless tires.

Low weight, even with a high-profile rim
Evanlite New Champion wheels are exceptionally light despite their 48–53 mm rim depth. Weight starts at 1340 grams per set, achieved through an advanced carbon layup and reduced paint layers. Despite the tall rim, the relatively low mass supports efficient climbing, strong dynamics on rolling terrain, and quick acceleration during sprints.
